With hub products, you transfer and accept your natural gas directly at virtual trading points in the GASPOOL – Balancing Services GmbH ("GASPOOL") market area.

We take care of the transport of the natural gas from the virtual trading point to the storage facility. This allows you to profit from both physical storage of your natural gas in one of our GASPOOL market area storage facilities as well as the availability found at virtual trading points. The natural gas stored with us remains your property at all times.

We offer a variety of hub products. Their differences are found in the turnover times and characteristic curves. You can find detailed information regarding Hub Trading Flat, Hub Trading and Hub Season in the Products area.

Hub products can be booked quickly and easily using easystore.

In flange products, you transfer and accept your natural gas directly at the corresponding entry/exit points in the underground storage facilities found in the Ontras – Gastransport GmbH ("ONTRAS") network.

You take care of the booking and nomination of the natural gas transport yourself. You benefit from a two-hour notification period for Within Day renominations. The natural gas stored with us remains your property at all times.

As an additional service, we also offer the convenient transfer of natural gas to other customers using the same storage facility.

We offer various flange products with differing turnover durations, interruptibility and characteristic curves. Detailed information regarding Trading, Season and Micro products can be found in the Products area.

Flange products can be booked quickly and easily using easystore.

We can offer you various add-on products (according to availability) for a short-term increase your storage performance.

Day-Ahead
You can book day-ahead capacities on a fixed basis for your existing trading and hub trading products. You book the capacities online in Easystore. We will inform you daily up to 11 a.m. about available capacities and corresponding fee by e-mail. Please simply send us a message to sales@vng-gasspeicher.de and you will immediately receive the daily information. 
Weekend capacities can be booked on Friday. Booking on weekends is not possible.

Within-Day capacities 
Within-day capacities are available to you on the current gas day as a band for rest of the day.
The capacities can be booked daily from 6 a.m. with a lead time of 3 hours.
The booking is not made online. Please use the booking form. As in the case of day-ahead capacities, the fee is determined depending on the current market situation.

The process for exceeding of capacities is regulated in our Operating Manual (§5 Subcontractual Nomination). Extra-contractual capacities are only available after prior consultation. The fee is listed in the fee overview and applies to every hour in which the contracted service is exceeded. These capacities are only available on an interruptible basis. 

Hub and flange products can be booked at the THE and TTF market area.

Yes, our customers may transfer capacities to and from each other in whole or in part. This is done as a "partial capacity transfer". You can divide one contract into two or more and transfer these to other customers.

This type of capacity transfer is available for all products excluding Micro and BioMicro.

We charge a transfer fee for this service. This is determined as follows: We calculate the service fee for the transferred capacities for a one storage year period. The fee charged to you for the partial capacity transfer shall be € 5,000.00.

Would you like to partially transfer capacities and are looking for other interested parties? We offer Secondary Marketing.

Yes – if you already have an existing basis contract with us. You are able to book the Day-Ahead product and "Add ons" as individual services using the easystore product consultant or via email (sales@vng-gasspeicher.de).

Flange
WGV, IR/WR firm and IR/WR interruptible Add ons are are available for flange products for long-term, day-ahead or within-day period.

Hub
Hub products can be enhanced with WGV or IR/WR firm Add ons for long-term, day-ahead or within-day period.

Yes: using the so-called natural gas transfer process. Injected natural gas volumes can be transferred between your own contracts or between different customers provided that they are part of the same type of contract valid for the same gas storage facility. This means that you are able to transfer injected natural gas volumes within a storage facility when these are part of the same type of product which have an appropriate amount of contractual working gas volume available. Natural gas may also be transferred between hub contracts.
