Transparency
We want to keep you fully informed at all times. That's why we provide all of the important facts you need on our website: current reports regarding maintenance, short-term notifications of unplanned service disruptions at our storage facilities, natural gas storage volumes, available capacities and an overview of nominations and current calorific values.
Available Capacities:
Available capacities (working gas volumes, injection rates, withdrawal rates) for our facilities are also provided in the Transparency section. You can filter for firm and interruptible basis capacities at each location and for different types of products. This allows for a quick overview of both current and future capacities either graphically or in tabular form.
Maintenance:
We publish scheduled maintenance measures which will have an effect on service at our natural gas storage facilities.
Note: In Kirchheilingen and Bad Lauchstädt there is, in addition to other scheduled maintenance, the need for a downtime period twice per year. This is due to the geological particularities of porous natural gas storage facilities. During these downtimes, injection and withdrawal are not available. This applies to Season and Season Storage products. To the Report.
REMIT:
The Transparency section includes the REMIT area which contains an RSS feed for short notice notifications concerning unplanned service disruptions at our natural gas storage facilities. This service helps us to fulfill the publication requirements for natural gas storage facility operators set forth in the EU transparency guidelines for energy traders (REMIT).
Storage Facility Capacity Levels:
The current gas levels found at all of our natural gas storage facilities can be viewed in the Transparency section under Storage Levels: the values for each of our facilities are provided either in calorific and volumetric form or percentages. Selecting a period will display a graphic or tabular depiction of the fill levels per day.
Nomination:
Our nomination report shows you the sum of nominated injection and withdrawal volumes for all customers at each storage location. All values are daily values for each finished gas day of the current gas week up to and including the previous day. You are also able to view the actual physical load flow for each storage facility coupling point.
Calorific Values:
Publication of calorific values is mainly of interest for customers with volumetric contacts. We use two different calorific values for the conversion of injection and withdrawal rate nominations from kWh to m³:
The injection calorific value is calculated using the sum of injected volumes at the end of a week as a volume weighted medium for each storage location. It is then published for the injection nomination of the following week. The withdrawal calorific value is calculated per contract using the injected volumes and the injected energy volumes for each current gas day. This is sent to the customer each day for the following day as part of their calorific value notification.
The report for the injection calorific vale per storage facility is found in the Transparency section. The withdrawal calorific value is calculated per contract using the injected volumes and the injected energy volumes for each current gas day. The withdrawal calorific value is sent to the customer each day for the following day as part of their calorific value notification.
Particular to the Etzel storage facility: the current reference calorific value of 11.4 kWh/m³ applies to injection and withdrawal.
Publication of the GSE (Gas Storage Europe) Transparency Template by European natural gas storage facility operators is stipulated by regulation 715/2009.
The template allows all market participants equal access to comprehensive information in accordance with existing transparency regulations.
